Big News!

 

Dan and I just purchased our first home together!

 

We fell in love with this house the moment we first saw it in photographs.  It was the ideal "starter" home for us!  When we first started looking for houses, we were convinced that we wanted to buy new or build.  It seemed easier.  But the more we looked, the more we realized that A. Building takes far too long  - and B. There is no such thing as the perfect house.  At least not when it comes to Dan and I.  We had so many ideas for things we wanted to do to our house to make it "our" house, that before long - buying new didn't make any sense. 

 

So we bought a fixer-upper!  Something I swore I would never do - but here we are knee-deep in torn up carpet and bathroom fixtures:

 

 

But wait, we have one more surprise! 

 

We're fixing our house up with one big goal in mind - everything must be finished, and that's EVERYTHING guys from every room re-painted, a completely new kitchen, bathroom, new floors throughout etc. in just 2 months.  Why are we in such a rush?

 

Simple- Dan and I can't think of a more perfect place to start our married life than in the backyard of our own first home together.
